Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Dr Blade Nzimande has established Covid-19 teams for the division of science and expertise and the division of upper training and coaching respectively.

“These distinct teams are comprised of stakeholders in these two sectors who’re crucial to the development of the sectors’ roles,” Nzimande stated in an announcement.

The minister stated the 2 teams would help him within the efficient participation within the president-led National Command Council, as effectively the sector’s contribution in combating the pandemic.

He stated the division of science and innovation (DSI) task crew was participating with the division of well being, the Medical Research Council, and the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority to mobilise funding.
