The on-line marketing campaign is petitioning the federal government to begin repatriation and has acquired almost 4,000 signatures.
“Medication has run out. Money is operating out. Nerves are frazzled. Emotions are operating excessive. Negativity is spiralling. Depression is setting in. Families are separated and distraught, consumed with fear for their stranded mother and father, siblings, spouses and kids,” reads the petition.
During the previous six weeks, Naidoo has made a number of pleas to the division of worldwide relations and cooperation (Dirco) for any sort of help.
On Tuesday, Dirco spokesperson Lunga Ngqengelele stated: “We are conscious of them and we’re engaged on getting them assisted to come again home.”
