have already made seven signings so far this season, with rumours of one of their targets being on the verge of being released, it could be eight soon.
The team manager Bobby Motaung as well as coach Molefi Ntseki have made it clear that Chiefs are still in the market for an attacker, with one on the verge of being available.
So far Chiefs have announced, Thathayoane Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Pule Mmodi, Ranga Chivaviro and Tebogo Potsane. In a balancing act, Chiefs have also seen seven players leaving their squad, the likes of Eric Mathoho, Siyabonga Ngezana, Phathutshedzo Nange, Cole Alexander, Khama Billiat, Austin Dube and Kgaogelo Sekgota all leaving Naturena. Now according to the latest reports, they’re no longer set to release an eighth in the shape of striker Caleb Bimenyimana.
The Burundi international striker had been believed to be close to joining Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca. It was thought that a deal had already been agreed by the two clubs, with just the personal terms now outstanding, on the player’s side. That move has since collapsed, with the new coach seemingly not fancing Bimenyimana , and Ntseki confirming his return. With the latest news, it was expected that he would stay and face more competition from a potentially incoming Gabadinho Mhango. But speaking to SuperSport TV, Chiefs team manager Bobby Motaung moved quickly to quash the rumours.
Now, Mhango is not the only AmaZulu player Chiefs have been interested in, in the past. It is believed that they have also been admiring attacker Siphesihle Maduna. According to Unplayable, Maduna is on his way out of Usuthu, with the new coach Pablo Martin, deeming him surplus to requirements.
MADUNA TO CHIEFS AFTER AMAZULU RELEASE?
#UNPLAYABLE has learnt that Siphesihle Maduna could be on his way out at AmaZulu, as he’s not in the coach’s plans. “The coach has indicated to the club that they must see what to do with him,” reveals our source.” They wrote on their Twitter.
With Chiefs having just let go of a winger in Sekgota, it looks like they might have room for Maduna, should they still be interested.
